And so it Begins.

Welcome to the Little Mage Blog!

Hello, and welcome to the official Little Mage blog! I’m thrilled to have you here as we embark on this exciting journey into the world of game development. As the architect-turned-game developer behind Little Mage, I aim to blend the intricate artistry of architecture with immersive gameplay, creating a unique experience that resonates with players on multiple levels.

This blog will serve as a platform to share my experiences, insights, and discoveries as I navigate the challenges and triumphs of bringing Little Mage to life. From architectural influences to gaming trends, lore, and project updates, I hope to provide a well-rounded look at what goes into developing a game that emphasizes storytelling and environmental detail.

"In my perception, games are art. Of course, there is traditional art, but art always comes in the form of novelty. As such, whatever is new can transform itself into art. What becomes art is not for me to decide, because I believe it is going to happen in the future. Someone is going to look back and say, 'video games were a form of art.' I do, however, create everything [in the games industry] as if it were art. But it is not for me to determine this, it is the future." — Yoshitaka Amano, artist and designer for Final Fantasy VII and other titles.
